Marquette, MI – August 2, 2024 – Lake Superior Theatre in Marquette is presenting their next show, a musical comedy called “The Prom”, starting next week.
Beacco explained the story as one of high school, broadway, good intentions and acceptance with great characters and fun music.
Belanger talked about the message of the show as well as working with cast and what she has enjoyed about her role, which is the first time she has been a lead actor.
The show is directed by Leslie Parkkonen, tells the story of an Indiana high schooler barred from bringing her girlfriend to the prom, and a group of eccentric Broadway folk who infiltrate the town in an earnest, misguided attempt to fight the injustice.
The show runs August 6-9, 11, and 13-17 at the Lake Superior Theatre.
