
Marquette, MI – June 12, 2024 – The Northern Michigan University Alumni Relations office is launching Alumni Fridays and several other summer alumni events in Marquette County this week.
Bunting said the NMU community is invited to join up at various locations to connect with fellow Wildcats during Happy Hours, historical walking tours or a virtual campus scavenger hunt.
She said the Happy Hours will take place at The Landmark Inn on Friday, June 14; The Mather Inn on Friday, July 12; and Blackrocks Brewery on Friday, August 23. All events will take place from 4:30–6:30 p.m. and are open to all alumni and friends. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
Bunting added that Dan Truckey ’90 BS, Director/Curator of the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, will guide two 60-minute historic walking tours of NMU’s campus at 11 a.m. on June 14th and July 12th. Registration is required.
Alumni and friends visiting campus this summer can also take a walk down memory lane or see how campus has changed with a virtual scavenger hunt.
The photo scavenger hunt can be done anytime this summer and participants can tag NMU Alumni on social media for a chance to win an NMU swag bag.
