Marquette, MI – March 20, 2024 – Governor Gretchen Whitmer has declared this week as Severe Weather Awareness Week in Michigan. State Police, and emergency management officials are encouraging residents to plan and prepare for seasonal severe weather.
Zika said the week serves as a good reminder for people to take time to prepare for strong thunderstorms, flash flooding and other hazardous weather events that are common in the U.P. over the spring and summer months.
