Marquette, MI – February 16, 2024 – Snow is being trucked in on several Downtown Marquette streets this morning as final preparations are underway for tonight’s UP200 Festival of the Sled Dog powered by NMU.
Anthony said sections of Washington and Third Streets are closed off as crews are building tracks for sled dog teams and a sledding hill.
He said all are welcome to come and take part in sled dog demos, enjoy some live music and other activities at the Festival, which kicks off at 6:00pm.
Anthony added that there is a full slate of activities also planned for tomorrow in Grand Marais with the UP200 Winterfest that opens up at 9:00am.
