Marquette, MI – February 8, 2024 – The Lake Superior Community Partnership and the dormant Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering to provide business support services in western Marquette County.
The GINCC shut down last year following an embezzlement investigation involving the then-Executive Director that depleted the agency’s finances.
The Partnership will establish a West End Advisory Council of West End businesses to develop a West End Services Strategy. They will also set up the West End Business Hub in the current GINCC office space for in-person meetings and services.
More details will be announced at an event on February 12th at 5:00pm at the Upper Peninsula Brewing Company in Negaunee.
