Marquette, MI – January 18, 2024 – The City of Ishpeming and Charter Communications have rolled out an updated community information television channel.
Cugini said the updates have made Channel 189 Charter’s first high-definition Public, Educational and Government, or PEG, channel in the state of Michigan.
He added that it makes the channel a central source of community information to Ishpeming residents.
The effort, which took nearly three years of collaboration between Charter and Ishpeming, had a trial launch in November so that officials could ensure the channel was backed with the proper infrastructure and content.
Cugini added that Channel 189 gives the City a creative way to keep residents informed of what’s happening at city hall and in their community.
