Marquette, MI – January 10, 2024 – A special advisory committee has been formed by the City of Negaunee to guide future economic development.
City Manager Nate Heffron has established the 12-member Negaunee Economic Development Advisory Team to research and present advice on economic development.
Heffron also said the Negaunee City Council is holding a public hearing later this month on a proposal to rezone a five-acre portion of the Old Town area in the city to open it for development to build residential housing.
The public hearing will be Thursday, Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Negaunee Senior Center. More information about the rezoning proposal and other projects can be found at the city’s website at cityofnegaunee.com.
