Marquette, MINovember 27, 2023 – A free screening of the award-winning feature film Bones of Crows takes place this week at Northern Michigan University.

Dr. April Lindala, Professor of Native American Studies spoke about the film today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Lindala said the showing is open to the public and will be at 6:30pm on Friday, December 1st, at the Whitman Hall Commons.

She explained that the film follows the character Aline Spears, a Cree woman who survives the Canadian Indian residential school system and goes on to become a code-talker for the Canadian Air Force in World War II.
