Marquette, MI – November 20, 2023 – State Senator Ed McBroom recently hosted a town hall meeting in Marquette Township focused on energy legislation recently passed in Lansing.
McBroom spoke about the meeting today with Mark and Walt in the Morning.
McBroom said the attendance was fairly evenly split between people in favor of and against the legislation, which according to the Dickinson County Republican, removes control from local elected officials in dealing with industrial solar and wind farms.
He added that conversations like those at the meeting will help shape amendments and other adjustments to the legislation as it moves into being law.
