Marquette, MI – October 12, 2023 – On our latest NMU Wildcat Wednesday, we heard more about Northern Michigan University’s upcoming Open Lab Day.
The School of Clinical Sciences is hosting the event from 11:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday, October 24th in rooms and labs around The Science Building on campus.
Thunnell explained that there are five different labs available to attend: clinical science, surgical technology, radiography, speech and language, and the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center.
He said some of the labs will be hands-on, with the surgical technology lab having participants scrub-in as though they were going into a surgery.
Others, like the speech and language lab, will allow student volunteers and instructors to sit in on actual therapy with the clients.
