Marquette, MISeptember 22, 2023 – Project Keep Kids Warm, an effort that has resulted in hundreds of western Marquette County kids receiving the winter jackets, snow pants, boots, and other winter gear is back for another winter season.

Project Coordinator Dick Derby spoke about this year’s effort today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Derby said the effort is seeking financial contributions to help fund the purchase of items for the families in need.  The financial support allows the group to secure winter clothing in large quantities and at discounted prices from area retailers.

He explained that area schools and service organizations submit requests on behalf of the kids and orders are then filled.

Derby said financial donations can be made out to Wesley United Methodist Church (Indicate KKW on your check) and mailed to:

Wesley United Methodist Church
P.O. Box 342
Ishpeming, MI 49849
