Marquette, MI – August 31, 2023 – Starting September 2nd, the documentary “Linked to Legends: The U.P. Teams that Played the Packers” will be available to be streamed at WNMU-TV’s website for free.
The Emmy-nominated documentary was produced by NMU Communications Professor Dwight Brady, and it documents the stories of five U.P. communities and their teams that played the Packers and other NFL teams in the early days of pro football.
Thomson said the film originally debuted on WNMU-TV in November of 2020, and the new free access is a great way to help celebrate WNMU-TV’s 50th Anniversary.
Brady encouraged everyone, not just Green Bay Packer fans, to watch the film to learn more about the rich history of the U.P. in the early days of pro football.
