Marquette, MI – August 16, 2023 – Governor Gretchen Whitmer kicked off an Upper Michigan visit today with stops in Marquette County.
Whitmer spoke about the tour and more today with Walt Lindala on Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Whitmer delivered the keynote address today to graduates of the First Annual Building Trades and Construction Council summer camp.
She also met with officials with the NMU Foundation, the City of Marquette, and the Veridea Group for an update on the redevelopment of the former Marquette General Hospital.
Whitmer also joined officials in Negaunee for a walking tour of the downtown Iron Street reconstruction project.
Tomorrow, Whitmer heads to Delta County during the second day of her U.P. tour with stops in Rapid River and at the U.P. State Fair in Escanaba.
