Marquette, MI – August 1, 2023 – The South Shore Fishing Association is hosting Veterans Fishing Day Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette.
Basal said the day was created to thank veterans for their service with a day of fishing on Lake Superior followed by a boat parade in the harbor.
She said the public is invited to come down to Mattson Park after 12:30pm on Saturday to help welcome back the veterans and cheer on the boat parade.
