Marquette, MI – July 13, 2023 – Roller Derby is back in Marquette this Saturday with the “Battle of the Lakes”, featuring Team U.P. vs. Lakeshore Roller Derby.
They explained that this will be the only chance to see live roller derby in Marquette this season, adding that Team U.P. will have skaters from the Upper Peninsula leagues battling the Lower Peninsula’s Lakeshore Roller Derby based along the West Michigan lakeshore.
The bout is this Saturday, July 15th at Marquette’s Lakeview Arena. Doors open at 5:00pm with a whistle start at 6:00pm.
Tickets are $10 per person, cash only, and kids 12 and under are free. A food truck and other refreshments will be on site, and Team U.P. merchandise will be available for purchase.
Funds raised will help Team U.P. get to the downstate Michigan Mitten Kitten Tournament in October.
