Marquette, MI – May 17, 2023 – A multi-million dollar Downtown Enhancement Project has been approved by the Negaunee City Council which will make several upgrades to the city’s downtown.
Negaunee City Manager Nate Heffron spoke about the project today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Heffron said the project will create new and updated parks and greenspaces and make the area more walkable.
He added it will also include some infrastructure upgrades as well, including upgraded sidewalks and street lighting.
Heffron said work on the project has been scheduled to begin in July, after the annual Pioneer Days celebration, and run through October of this year.
The final phase of the work will run from May to October of next year.
