
Marquette, MI – May 5, 2023 – The Upper Peninsula Literary Hall of Fame has their inaugural induction ceremony coming up later this month.
Organizer Ron Riekki spoke about the Hall of Fame and the induction ceremony with Walt Lindala.
Riekki explained the Hall of Fame is intended to recognize writers from around Upper Michigan and honor their work.
He said the induction ceremony is Saturday, May 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bayliss Public Library in Sault Ste. Marie, and will honor four writers.
Two of the four newly inducted writers include Sue Harrison, author of the bestselling Mother Earth Father Sky, of Pickford, and Sally Brunk, Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians poet, of L’Anse.
Riekki added that the event is free to the public, and all are invited to attend.
