Marquette, MI – April 17, 2023 – Joe Thiel, CEO of Innovate Marquette SmartZone, is getting the word out the SmartZone’s role in the Upper Peninsula’s growing outdoor innovation, creative, and sustainable tech scenes.
Thiel spoke about the SmartZone’s efforts recently with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Theil says the work of the SmartZone is ensuring that those three areas of innovation have a strong footing in Marquette.
He explained that in the last year they have vetted 107 entrepreneur ideas and served 111 clients.
Theil added that the work has retained 139 job opportunities and the investment of $341,000 to benefit clients and the regional economy.
