NMU Diversity Common Reader Program Shares Latest Book

Marquette, MI – March 3, 2023 – The Northern Michigan University Diversity Common Reader Program has announced their new featured book for this season.

Lynn Domina, Professor of English at NMU, and member of the Program Planning Committee, spoke about the book and the program today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Domina said this year’s book is “Being Seen: One Deafblind Woman’s Fight to End Ableism” by Elsa Sjunneson.

She added that the author will make a virtual visit to the area on March 20th, with a program via Zoom that evening available to watch together in a group at the Northern Center or at home.
