Marquette, MIMarch 1, 2023 Northern Michigan University, along with many other colleges and universities across the country, is experiencing issues with its third-party ticketing vendor. This has created a shutdown of online sales of tickets for multiple events.

NMU Athletic Director Rick Comley shared an update on the situation today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Comley explained that the system was shut down by the vendor following a security breach from a hacker, and it is not expected to be able to resume normal operations for 5-7 days, as increased security measures are taken.

He said while the timing is not ideal with men’s and women’s basketball and hockey at home for playoffs, and a theater production all taking place this week, a Plan B has been developed going forward.

Comley said that in somewhat of a throwback move, tickets will be available for in-person purchase as of 10 a.m. today at the NMU Ticket Office in the Berry Events Center, using cash or credit cards.

He added that getting tickets for the upcoming events is best done sooner than later if anyone wants a specific seat.

NMU Ticket Office hours at the Berry Event Center are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. until game time Friday and Saturday.

If a Sunday hockey game is needed, the Berry Events Center ticket office will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and one hour prior to the game start.
