Marquette, MI – February 16, 2023 – The U.P. Sled Dog Association is moving ahead with backup events following the cancellation of this year’s running of the UP 200, Midnight Run and Jackpine 30 sled dog races due to inclement weather.
Anthony says the “Festival of the Sled Dog Powered by NMU” will replace the Friday night race start at 7:00pm in downtown Marquette.
He added that the Grand Marais community is also planning a Winter Fest on Saturday with food, bonfires and other activities.
