Marquette, MI – February 6, 2023 – The U.P. Boat, Sport & RV Show is a go for this year despite the recent passing of the event’s founder and coordinator, Dave Kimar.
Kimar passed away on January 14th at the age of 77, fueling some speculation that this year’s show might not happen.
That will not be the case, however, as Kimar’s daughter Sarah has taken over to serve as Event Coordinator.
Kimar explained that she stepped up to serve as the Event Coordinator to carry on her father’s legacy that’s been built by his producing the show for 30 years.
Noordyk talked about what will be happening at the show, which is Friday, March 31st through Sunday, April 2nd at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
The pair said doing the show is the perfect tribute to Dave Kimar who, according to daughter Sarah, would have wanted the show to go on.
