
Marquette, MI – January 19, 2023 – A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Marquette County from 7:00am today through 7:00am tomorrow.
The National Weather Service in Negaunee Township says heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 16 inches are possible. The heaviest snowfall is expected in the Huron Mountains and in the higher terrain southwest, west and northwest of Marquette.
Heavy snowfall will spread north across Marquette County between 8:00am and 11:00am today. Snowfall rates of at least 1 inch per hour will likely occur for several hours once it begins.
Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commutes.
