Marquette, MIDecember 1, 2022The City of Marquette is in the process of updating their Master Plan, which will provide a long-term vision for Marquette and guide future policies based on data and community input.

Dennis Stachewicz, Marquette Community Development Director, and Dave Stensaas, Marquette City Planner, spoke about the effort this week with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

The pair said the city is seeking public input from residents and visitors alike and they are putting out the call for all interested parties to participate in 2022-2023 Community Master Plan Renewal Project.

Stachewicz explained that a Master Plan contains the community’s long-term vision to help direct future growth and development patterns.

Stensaas encouraged all who are interested in the shaping of the future of Marquette to sign up for regular project updates through a new website which is intended to serve as the hub for all Master Plan content.
