Marquette, MI – November 17, 2022 – At their annual organizational meeting this week, the Marquette City Commission voted to have Commissioner Cody Mayer to serve as Mayor.
Mayer, who served as Mayor Pro Tem for the past year, made history with the appointment, becoming the youngest Mayor of Marquette in history. Fellow Commissioner Sally Davis was selected as Mayor Pro Tem.
Mayer touched on a series of issues facing the city and what some of the efforts the Commission is considering to address them.
