Negaunee Miners Celebrate State Championship Anniversary And New Training Facility

Marquette, MI – September 9, 2022 – The Negaunee Public Schools are hosting the 20-year reunion of the 2002 State Football Champions later today.

The Miners play Hancock at 7:00 o’clock Miner Stadium, and at halftime, 2002 team members, coaches and cheerleaders will be recognized in a special ceremony.

Negaunee Public Schools Superintendent Dan Skewis spoke about the evening’s events today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Skewis discussed an open house for the newly constructed practice facility located on the south side of Miner Stadium this evening, giving the community it’s first chance to see the inside of the new space.
