Richmond Township Celebrating 150th Anniversary This Weekend

Marquette, MIAugust 24, 2022 – Richmond Township celebrates its 150th anniversary starting Friday with a full weekend of activities.

Jan St. Germain, Richmond Township Librarian, and Simon Jaklin, Boy Scouts Troop 343 Senior Patrol Leader, and member of the North Country Bruisers roller derby team, spoke about the events today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

St. Germain said there is an open house and all-class reunion runs from 6-9 p.m. on Friday at the Richmond Township Hall.

Jaklin talked about his involvement in the Richmond Township Sesquicentennial Parade, which kicks off at noon on Saturday in Palmer. The parade line up is at 11:00 a.m.

They said that there is a day of family-friendly activities is planned on Saturday after the parade at Richmond Township Park in Palmer.

There will be food and drink, kids activities, live music, a car show and fireworks at dusk.
