Marquette, MI – August 16, 2022 – A community-based effort to raise funds to update the Kid’s Cove Playground at Mattson Park in Marquette is having some great success.
Organizers say the fundraising to design and build the universal design playground has received overwhelming financial support from individual people, organizations and businesses around the region.
Ittner said there are several initiatives underway, including an online Patronicity campaign, for people to donate to the effort to raise the needed approximately $1.3 million to build the park.
Eppensteiner said a fundraiser is being held at the Foundation’s Annual Celebration event on September 14th at Northern Michigan University. She added that a full update on the project will also be shared at the event.
