Marquette, MIMay 31, 2022 – On our latest Upper Peninsula Health Plan Update, we heard about the return of the Marquette County Community Resource Fair to Marquette.

Katrina Keough, Project Director, and Kristie Hechtman, Quality Initiative Coordinator with Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions, spoke about the event today on Mark & Walt in the Morning.

They explained that the resource fair will take place on Wednesday, June 15th from Noon to 4:00 p.m. at Lakeview Arena in Marquette. It is free and open to the public, and no tickets are required.

Hechtman said there will be multiple services available, including the Feeding America Mobile Food truck at the Berry Events Center, and several community based organizations offering health screenings, food, housing, and utility resources, veteran’s assistance, vaccinations and immunizations, women’s resources and more.

Keough said that the aim of the resource fair is to empower Marquette County residents in their health journey by providing as many resources as possible in one location for one day.

They added that Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions is now on Facebook and it’s a great place to find updates on the fair and other initiatives happening at UPHCS.
