Marquette, MI – May 9, 2022 – The Marquette City Commission has two meetings later today. One is a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. with the second being the Commission regular meeting at 6:00 p.m.
City Manager Karen Kovacs spoke about the meetings today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Kovacs said the special meeting is to have a discussion about a possible operating millage increase in the city.
The Commission will then be holding their regular meeting, and action items include a vote on a resolution to apply for just under $1.5 million in state brownfield redevelopment funding for the proposed Vault Hotel project in downtown Marquette.
Both meetings will be at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
