
Marquette, MI – March 30, 2022 – A sloppy mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow across the region is creating several issues with travel this morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted by the National Weather Service for Marquette County until 2:00 o’clock this afternoon with mixed precipitation with anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of snow and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch through today.
A Winter Storm Watch is also posted for the area from this evening through tomorrow afternoon with up to 10 inches of snow in some areas and ice of around one tenth of an inch possible tonight and tomorrow. Winds could also be gusting up to 40 mph.
As a result of the poor weather conditions this morning, multiple school districts are closed today, or have gone to virtual learning days.
