Marquette Police Chief Blake Reiboldt Discusses Retirement

Marquette, MIMarch 29, 2022 – Marquette Police Chief Blake Reiboldt is retiring from the post next month after being with the MPD since 1994 and serving as Chief for the past six years.

Reiboldt spoke about his time with the Marquette Police and his future plans today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Reiboldt said he is ready to explore some new opportunities in his life with his family and said retirement is the right thing for him to do now.

He talked about some of the big changes he’s seen in law enforcement over the years, and also shared what he’s most proud of as accomplishments during his tenure.

The Marquette City Commission has named Acting Patrol Captain Ryan Grim as the incoming Chief of Police, effective April 11th. Grim is a graduate of Northern Michigan University and has been with the Marquette Police Department since 2001.
