TV6’s Steve Asplund Discusses His Career And Retiring From The Anchor Desk With Mark & Walt

Marquette, MI – March 15, 2022 – WLUC TV6’s Steve Asplund is retiring this week after working at the station for over 40 years and serving as the evening news anchor since 1985.

Asplund joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today and spoke about his decades-long career in local U.P. news and shared his plans for the future.

Asplund’s final TV6 newscast is this Wednesday, March 16, at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by a special retrospective “Ryan Report” interview with Don Ryan at 7:00 p.m.

We all thank Steve for his years of dedication to serving our community by telling our stories and we wish him well in the future!  Congratulations, Steve!
