Marquette, MI – February 28, 2022 – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting coming up this evening.
Commissioners will be voting on a proposed Memorandum of Understanding about a plan to redevelop the former Marquette General Hospital property in the city.
The NMU Foundation is leading a consortium of public and private partners in the effort, which has an estimated level of private investment of $160 million.
The Commission will also be voting on the city’s formal support a millage renewal request going before voters in August for continued participation and funding of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail.
The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
