Marquette, MI – February 14, 2022 – The Marquette City Commission has a special meeting later today to hear an update on a major redevelopment project concerning the former Marquette General Hospital property.
Representatives of the Northern Michigan University Foundation will present a report on their due diligence findings and opportunities for redevelopment at the site.
The meeting is scheduled for 4:30pm today at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
That meeting will be followed by a regular meeting of the City Commission at 6:00 p.m. at the same location.
The Commission will be holding a public hearing and taking action on a proposed brownfield redevelopment plan by the Ore Dock Brewing Company for the removal of a blighted building along Front Street and to develop an outdoor beer garden area to the north of their current building on Spring Street.
