Marquette, MI – February 2, 2022 – On our latest Upper Peninsula Health Plan Update, we learned more about the transportation benefits for UPHP members and how interested people can become volunteer drivers for the service.
Gwinn explained that non-emergent medical transportation is a benefit for all UPHP Medicaid members to ensure transportation is not a barrier for members to get to their medical appointments, and to make sure they get the care they need.
She also outlined the types of transportation covered under the benefit and how members can use the service.
Gwinn also shared information on how anyone who may be interested in becoming a volunteer driver for the UPHP transportation program can find out more.
