Marquette, MI – December 8, 2021 – The Cities of Ishpeming and Negaunee, along with the Rotary Club of Ishpeming, say their Joint Dock Project on Teal Lake has been awarded $114,000 in funding under the Michigan D-N-R Recreation Passport Grant Program.
They said the project will install two new A-D-A complaint universal accessible design docks on both ends of the lake.
The Ishpeming side will handle both canoes and kayaks, while the Negaunee side will also handle canoes and kayaks along with rowing sculls used by the Marquette Rowing Club.
The estimated $152,000 project will begin this spring.
