Marquette, MI – November 15, 2021 – State Senator Ed McBroom is sharing his thoughts on legislation concerning the regulation of short-term rental properties in residential areas in the state that was recently passed in the State House and is now in committee in the State Senate.
The measure has created some controversy among local governments and others as critics say it would prevent municipalities from adopting or enforcing local zoning ordinances that have the effect of prohibiting short-term rentals.
The measure is now before the Senate Committee on Regulatory Reform.
