Marquette, MIOctober 12, 2021The TV6 Canathon is getting ready for another holiday season of gathering non-perishable foods around Upper Michigan.

TV6 Canathon Director Scott Zerbel spoke about this year’s event today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Zerbel explained that this year’s effort marks the 40th year of TV6 reaching out to residents of the U.P. to help gather food to help feed a hungry neighbor, and just under 4.5 million pounds of food have been collected since the Canathon started.

He said this year, the Canathon, which begins on Monday, November 1st, returns to gathering of actual food items at multiple locations around Upper Michigan, but it will also maintain the option for making financial donations that was developed during last year’s campaign in response to coronavirus pandemic.

The mediaBrew Communications offices at 3060 US 41 West in Marquette Township will be a drop-off location for non-perishable food items beginning this Monday

Zerbel said that the latest updated information on the TV6 Canathon can be found online at TV6canathon.com.
