Marquette, MI – October 25, 2021 – The Marquette City Commission has a regular meeting this evening.
Kovacs said the Commission will be hearing a report from the city’s Election Board and will be taking action on labor contracts with unionized City Hall and Supervisory city employees.
She added that the Commission will also be acting on moving the City Attorney from a contracted position under retainer with an area law firm to a full-time contract as an in-house city employee.
Kovacs said Commissioners will also be voting on a proposed plan for permitting of public events in city parks and facilities centered around recreational-use marijuana.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Commission Chambers at Marquette City Hall.
