Marquette, MI – August 4, 2021 – Today on Wildcat Wednesday, our look at things happening at Northern Michigan University, the home of the Wildcats, we heard more about SISU: The Innovation Institute at NMU.
Digneit explained that SISU exists to give the NMU community a place to develop new ideas to ensure all learners have the educational experiences needed for the jobs of the future, and to re-imagine partnerships that industries and institutions can make to improve the social and economic well-being of their communities.
Thompson added that the Institute looks to develop new interdisciplinary academic programs and to serve as a bridge for innovation to generate engagement opportunities between the university and the community at-large.
