Jackson said their group decided to hold their events on the Saturday of this holiday weekend to give area residents a wider array of Independence Day activities to enjoy around the region.
She said the activities in Ishpeming begin tomorrow with the Daryl Champion Kids Parade at 9:30 a.m., followed by the main parade at 10:30.
That’s followed by the Community Picnic at Al Quaal Recreation Area from Noon to 7:00 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
