Marquette, MI – May 27, 2021 – As the Memorial day holiday weekend approaches, Marquette Police are preparing for the onset of the summer season with a message of using common sense and exercising patience.
Rieboldt said that this upcoming summer vacation season is expected to be very busy in the city, with visitors coming in from all around.
He knows it is already starting going into Memorial Day as pedestrian and vehicle traffic is up. He added that exercising some patience with visitors is a good idea for all.
Laurila talked about some the new and updated ordinances that are in effect that cover everything from dogs being on leashes to smoking on city beaches to parking at Presque Isle.
They recommended following the MPD Facebook page or the City of Marquette website for the latest updates going into the summer season.
