Marquette, MI – (May 24, 2021) – The Marquette City Commission says goodbye to City Manager Mike Angeli at their regular meeting tonight. Angeli is retiring after over 40 years with the city.
Angeli spoke about the meeting and more today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.
Angeli said the Commission will be finalizing the employment agreement tonight with Karen Kovacs from downstate Milan, who will start as City Manager on June 7th.
The Commission is also voting on a resolution addressing food trucks at Presque Isle Park and other city properties and holding a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Brownfield plan for the UPHS-Marquette hospital to address the building of the new Beacon House facility.
The meeting begins at 6:00pm at Commission chambers at Marquette City Hall. It will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel and on Spectrum channel 191.
