Marquette, MI – April 20, 2021 – The Michigan Department of Transportation and Marquette Township are holding a virtual online virtual public meeting this evening to discuss the US-41/M-28 rebuilding project getting underway this spring.

M-DOT Spokesperson Dan Weingarten and Construction Engineer Al Anderson spoke about the meeting and the project today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Weingarten said there will be a short presentation at 6 p.m. by M-DOT officials and other stakeholders followed by a question-and-answer period prior to the regular township board meeting.

Anderson said the $9.2 million project will resurface 2.8 miles of highway, along with building a non-motorized pathway and is scheduled for May to November, and will require lane closures, local detours, and some night work.
