U.S. Senator Gary Peters Discusses Federal American Rescue Plan COVID Relief Measure

Marquette, MI – March 11, 2021 – Earlier today, U.S. Senator Gary Peters joined Mark & Walt in the Morning to talk about the American Rescue Plan COVID relief package, which was signed into law this afternoon by President Joe Biden.

Peters spoke about some of the key elements of the plan and how he believes it is intended to help the American people as they struggle to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.

He outlined funding for items such as $1,400 stimulus checks, the safe reopening of schools and speeding up vaccine distribution.

Peters also addressed criticism launched against the plan that says it spends too much money and is loaded with pork and shoulders future generations with excessive debt.
