Marquette County Police, Sheriff and Firefighters Out Today Helping The Salvation Army

Marquette, MINovember 20, 2020 – The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, local police and several fire departments from around the county are going head-to-head in a challenge today to raise funds for The Salvation Army.

Captain Doug Winters from the Salvation Army of Marquette County spoke about the effort today with Mark & Walt in the Morning.

Winters was joined by Marquette County Sheriff Greg Zyburt and Marquette Firefighters Association President Kirk Vogler.

They explained five Red Kettle locations will have a kettle for Police and Fire, and shoppers will be encouraged to support these groups as they raise donations.

They will be at Super One Marquette, Super One Negaunee, Jubilee Foods Ishpeming Rt. 41, Larry’s Foods Gwinn, and WalMart in Marquette from 4pm to 8pm today.

The donations from across the county will be individually collected, and a winner of this challenge will be announced once the totals are tabulated.
