Marquette, MINovember 24, 2020 – Documentary filmmaker and Northern Michigan University Professor Dwight Brady joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today for a spirited chat about his new film that examines the history of U.P. football teams playing against the Green Bay Packers.

Brady’s new film is called “Linked to Legends: The U.P. Teams that Played the Packers”, and it premieres this weekend on WNMU-TV in Marquette.

Brady shared where the idea for the film came from, and how his youth in the U.P. shaped his love for the Packers.

As he dug deeper into the history of his favorite team, he found that between 1919-1926, the Packers played nine games against teams from five different communities in the U.P.

Brady, an Emmy Award-winning documentarian, decided to make the film as a deep dive into the century-old stories of the U.P. teams that played the Packers and other NFL teams from 1919-1926.

Linked to Legends debuts at 9:30 p.m. eastern Saturday, Nov. 28, on WNMU-TV. It will air again at 9 p.m. eastern Thursday, Dec. 3, and 2:30 p.m. eastern Monday, Dec. 7.
