Marquette, MI – November 20, 2020 – Work is continuing to dismantle and remove portions of the collapsed roof of the Vista Theater in downtown Negaunee.  The roof of the historic theater collapsed in late August during a heavy rainstorm.

Rusty Bowers, President of the Vista Theater Advisory Board, joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to give an update of the effort.

Bowers says crews will be working through the weekend to separate a portion of the roof from inside the building and remove debris.

He added that after that portion of the project is complete, crews will shift their focus to preservation of the building and begin to shore up the walls of the theater from the inside.
