Boat Ride in the Summer Heat on the River with a Rainbow
Look at that Beautiful Rainbow

Marquette, MI – Between rain drops and a little construction project this weekend we launched our pontoon boat and headed out on the Dead River Basin for a some early summer fun.  Our dogs love going out on the lake and being on the boat.  I made sure to bring my cell phone as I was a little worried about breaking down since it was the first ride of the summer.  The ‘tooner ran great and we didn’t have any issues.  Good thing… because the only people I could have called to help tow us back to shore were all on the boat!

As we cruised down the dead and approached Turtle Island we saw a massive rainbow pop out from the clouds.  It was so low on the horizon, I felt like I could have reached out and grabbed it.  I wouldn’t have minded finding a lil’ pot of gold too.  I’ll keep you posted on more summer fun as soon as we figure out where the sun went…
